Handmade felt cloche hat

My felted items are handmade felt - not knitted and shrunk. Not that there's anything wrong with that - I'm just too slow of a knitter. I like to feel the felt magically transform from loose fiber to solid felt in my hands. I start with some of my hand dyed roving, add hot water and a little soap and work it until it becomes a hand bag, a hat or whatever I'm making.
This hat is blue-green like the forest with a large, needle-felted flower, sort of resembling a poinsettia. I've found these hats incredibly comfortable and warm.
This hat is a large size. I measure my head at 23 inches and it fits me. I will be doing smaller sizes soon.

Created in a smoke-free (well, tobacco free. Can't say as much for my cooking...) but not pet-free home. Colors may vary with different monitors.
