An hommage to Botticelli's Venus.

This modern abstract collage was created with artist grade acrylic paints, found & prepared papers. Two coats of gloss varnish have been applied to assure long life and protection against UV rays.

The canvas used is 3/4 inch deep staple-free canvas. The sides are painted black and are visible in this type of framing.

Floater frames are very popular as alternate framing treatments for contemporary paintings. The canvas floater frame doesn't cover the edge of the painting but instead appears to 'float' around the edge.
