Medicine Cup Convalescent Cup Bed Ridden Tea Cup Made in England

I have never really known the name of this cup. I have had it for a number of years trying to find out what it really was used for.

Can you picture a loved one sitting on the edge of the bed giving medicine to the ill patient or child?

I have been told it was all of these names, so take your pick and call it what ever you want.
If you truly know I would love to hear from you. Please contact me and let me know. I would really appreciate it so much.

edit: Thank you to richel for letting me know that it is in fact a tea cup for the bed ridden and that it's probably iron stone and not porcelain. Porcelain would be far to fragile for this type of use. I truly appreciate your help.

It is five and half inches from the spout to the edge of the back of the cup and almost five inches from the edge of the handle and the outer edge of the cup.

The bottom says Made In England in a circle around the outer edge of the words and the inner edge of the words.

I am only listing two destinations because of my lousy guessing at shipping prices. But if I am over in my estimate by three dollars I will happily refund the difference.
