Custom Freehand Silhouette Portrait with Art Nouveau Oval Papercutting

This listing is for one heirloom-quality custom silhouette portrait papercutting nested in a handcut oval with natural art nouveau lines.

In the tradition of many early American silhouette artists, my silhouettes are cut freehand-- no shadows, no tracing, no Photoshop-- just a keen eye and terribly sharp little scissors.

How it works:
You send me images taken in profile against a neutral background from about 4 feet away. Be sure to include head and shoulders with mouth closed in a natural position. I cut your portrait from lovely matte French black silhouette paper (or other color, shown in blue) and send you a proof. Once you are happy with the cutting, I mount it archivally on 8"x10" museum board, and sign and date it in oh so tiny black letters just below the back swoop.
