Henry VIII- King of England
Description
Henry VIII was King of England from April, 1509 until his death in 1547. Although in the greater part of his reign he brutally suppressed the influence of the Protestant Reformation in England, he is more popularly known for his role in the separation of the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church. He is also noted for his six wives, two of whom were beheaded. Needless to say, he never won the husband of the year award!Henry is dressed royally in a wine and gold leaf costume overlaid with ivory and brown velvet velvet cloak. Gold and jewels encrust the front and his kingley hat set off with white feather completes his look. Henry has hand painted face and stands 4 and 3/4 inches tall. He's a must have for the Tudor collector!
