Subtracting can be a funny thing. Especially when you think about it in terms of cleaning out, decluttering, organizing, rethinking all of that "stuff." Sometimes you have to subtract to add space, gain perspective and enjoy what you already have. Drawers, closets, maybe even a room can be added free of charge to a home just for subtracting.

This original mixed media piece was created on a vintage wooden plaque. It measures 12 x 10 1/2 inches and has a depth of 1/2 inch. It has a sawtooth hanger on the back and is signed and dated.

This piece is featured in the November/December 2009 edition of Cloth Paper Scissors. It is included in the article written by June titled "Creating Art with Math."
