Description

This mug was made to celebrate the harvest season. I created it on my pottery wheel first, then added the hand-pulled handle when it was leather hard. Bisque fired, glazed and glazed fired in my electric kiln to cone 6. The spiral flourish designs are actually a laser decal which I add after the glaze fire and re-fire it to cone 04. The iron oxide in the decal burns into the glaze. The glaze colors are harvest gold on the outside and rusty orange on the inside.

Made with my high fire dark brown stoneware clay. Microwave, and dishwasher safe.
