Pigeon Mourn - print of original painting

Description

As I walked passed a park, I saw two pigeons near me on the ground. One pigeon was passing away, while the other nervously stood by him. I waited and watched as the pigeon stayed by his side, shuffling left and right, occasionally looking at me and then back at his friend on the ground.

I came back hours later to see the deceased pigeon still laying on the ground, and next to him a patch of dirt where the grass had worn away from the other pigeons shuffling feet. I never saw a pigeon worry, or mourn before.

This is an archival print on heavy Stonehenge art paper of the oil painting I made in homage to these two pigeons and their story. I use HP Vivera inks which are guaranteed not to fade for over 82 years. I sign and number each print in pencil to ensure authenticity.

The print measures 8" square. This print is not mounted. A mounted version is offered in my shop, or you can order mounting separately for this piece, also in my shop.

It's a beautiful piece with a touching true story.
