Casual Backpack in Galaxy Ginger Circles

My Anna backpack fits low on the back and is soft sided for a more casual look than a traditional backpack. It is smaller too, yet large enough to toss in a book with your usual purse contents. The flaps have a weighted doodad to help hold it over the drawstring opening. Each pack is fully lined. The straps are nylon and non-adjustable, keeping with the casual feel. Like all my bags, each one is one-of-a-kind.

I named them after my niece, Anna. The first 4 packs I made were for her birthday party - each guest got one. They are about 8 years old, so I lengthened the straps for these listings.

The pack shown here is made from a canvas print called Galaxy in ginger. The print is multicolored concentric circles in burgundy, red, mint, pink, white and mustard on a ginger colored background....although some opinions referred to the background color as mustard, pear or ochre.

It is lined with Denyse Schmidts County Fair Dizzy Dots in ginger. This fabric also makes up the drawstring's casing.

Weighting the flap is a round red acrylic pendant with the word LOVE stamped on it.

The polypropylene webbing straps are burgundy with a loop at the top.

The drawstring is a mustard colored leather lace with a cord lock.

9" side to side (widest portion of the oval bottom)

flap: 8 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" long

Given the material, it could be washed in a cool gentle cycle, but because of the pendant/decoration it may be best to hand wash or at least wash in a lingerie bag.
