Hand printed & signed, this beautiful print is part of a series of re-designed classic Asian "Flower Card" gamecards.

Known as "Hwa-Tu" in Korea and "Hanafuda" in Japan, the game has been played for decades throughout history. The Flower Card game features lovely designs that represent the months of the year.

Shown is my re-design of the October card which is classically represented by Maple leaves.

Construction includes full-color ink transfer onto gorgeous, textured Japanese rice paper - wrapped/adhered around 3/4" thick pine wood block. The block is mounted to a separate section of 3/4" thick wood which brings the art forward when hung on a wall. The final piece measures 3.5" x 3.5" x 1.5"
