Robin's Nest - Original Linocut Print

Description

In the Spring of 2008 I documented "A Robin's Life." It is the story of a robin's nest I found in my neighborhood while walking my dog, Gracie. Every day I took a photo of the nest and watched as the eggs hatched. Eventually only one chick of five eggs lived to fly away. I named it Heini which is Celtic for sprightly or active

I am so excited to be able to offer this original, hand-cut, inked, barened, lifted, and individually colored linocut print. The soft look is achieved with metallic pewter water-based ink and cyan gouache applied wet-on-wet to natural colored Japanese kitakata paper. There is a mica-type sheen to the pewter ink that is just beautiful.

Print dimensions: 4" wide by 3" tall
Paper dimensions: 7" wide by 5" tall
