Ocean Cat 5 x 7 pointillist drawing. Your choice of border.

Description

Ocean cat knows he is supposed to hate water, but he dreams of the ocean anyway. He never tells his friends because he knows they have sensible cat dreams of mice and trees and scratch-able dog noses. Instead, he drifts off into cat naps of sand and salty air.

The original drawing was 11 inches tall and was created entirely by hand using pointillist/stippling techniques (each dot in the image was placed individually). This print has been made by carefully shrinking a high-resolution scan of the original; all the original details are preserved perfectly.

NOTE about the images shown here: the first shot is proportioned horizontally only because of the way Etsy crops photos. The second shot gives you the true proportions for the print. The border is optional--please specify whether you have a preference about whether or not to have a border when you check out.

The print is produced with archival inks on archival matte paper (the combined colorfastness rating is over 100 years if displayed under glass).

The print will be signed and dated (back or front, your choice), then shipped in a protected mailer promptly. I make my own bend-proof packaging by reusing materials whenever possible to be more eco-friendly, but if you prefer I use more traditional packaging, just let me know.

Note: the framed image is just to give you an idea of what it might look like framed; the print comes neither with frame nor black border (though it does have extra white space around the edges to make for easier matting).
