Sapphires and Sterling Penannular Brooch

Description

This beautiful ancient design called a penannular brooch is used to hold scarves, cloaks and tartans. This is my modern interpretation of this ancient design. This one is made out of heavy round sterling silver wire that has a nice matte finish. The pin part is made from twisted square wire. The stones are genuine natural sapphires that are approx .48 cts total weight. It has my makers mark (MAB)signed on the back and quality mark "925" on the end of the wire.

To attach to your scarf, Open the pin flat and lay the pin wrong side up putting the straight pin part through the scarf where you want the pin to end up. Flip the circular part back over the straight pin and put the straight pin through the opening. Turn the circular part of the pin under the tip of the straight pin to lock it in place.
