Description

This listing is for one 55 gram skein of hand dyed, handspun corriedale wool. I spin the wool into a lightweight single ply; the resulting fabric has a bit of a sheen, and is warm and light. It feels a lot like Manos del Uruguay. The skeins average about 69 yards; if you order more than one skein, I'll do my best to make sure that the yardages are as close as possible.

This yarn is a heavy worsted/Aran weight. With an average skein, I get approx 19 sts per 4 inches on a 5mm needle, but your tension is not my tension, and each skein is slightly different. For best results, always swatch first.

One skein will make an adult-sized beanie hat. Two skeins will make a small scarf or a pair of mittens, three will make a larger scarf. For an adult, medium sweater, 12 skeins is probably about right.

If you want more of this colourway, let me know. I tend to make them in batches of 4 skeins but only list 1 or 2 at a time.
