This cozy shawl or wrap is soft to the touch, drapes beautifully and is well suited to both casual and dressy wear. The sterling silver shawl pin is made-to-match by Etsy seller creationsbyuli.etsy.com with a hand-painted Kazuri ceramic bead from Kenya.

I wove the shawl in plain weave, with a soft-spun weft of NZ multi-colored yarn of 75% fine Corriedale wool with a black knotted synthetic binder. The warp yarn is 60/40 kid mohair/merino which I hand-painted to make a variegated yarn to highlight the weft colors. The random placement of colors in both warp and weft simply dance in the light.

The shawl measures approximately 25 inches by 76 inches plus twisted fringes. I recommend a short, cool wash on gentle or handwash, air fluff and lay flat to dry.
