EXQUISITE Handbound Knitting / Crochet Journal

Description

EXQUISITE is a beautifully simple journal made with dark tanned faux leather, and lined with a pretty printed linen fabric. A crocheted chain strap holds the journal shut with a vintage gold effect resin button. A semi-opaque handmade glass bead dangles at the end of the book strap. The pages are bound with off-white thread that is visible on the spine.

The journal is filled with high quality acrylic-stained 140g/m² cartridge paper with hand torn edges - the pages are 100% recycled and can take all dry media. You can write or sketch all the way to the margins as the book opens flat. The journal binding is hand stitched with a strong polyester/cotton thread that is visible on the spine.

This journal boasts 200 blank pages, 32 pages of knitting graph paper, and 4 recycled card pockets. Unlike commercially available knitting journals, there are no pre-determined 'sections' for project information, so you can use as little or as much space for each project.There is ample space for pattern information, comments for each project and if you're anything like me, extensive notes on alterations! The blank pages are also useful if you need more room to fill out notes on specific projects or if you want to write/sketch ideas for one of your own original patterns!

The paper is heavyweight and sturdy, so it can withstand multiple 'staplings' (photographs, yarn labels, inspirations; of course if you prefer glue or double sided tape you can use those too!) and a lifetime of pageturning, and the soft wraparound cover will keep all your bits and pieces inside!

Towards the back of the journal, you will find knitting graph paper, yarn and needle conversion charts for US, metric and Imperial knitting needle and crochet hook sizes - great for at-a-glance referencing. The 4 card pockets are handy for holding yarn labels, photographs, etc until you get around to attaching them to the journal!

This knitting journal is extremely versatile, use it to draft and write your own patterns, a day-to-day design companion, or as a portfolio dedicated to all your lovingly handknit items. Whatever you choose, these blank pages will give you immense creative freedom and you will have a beautiful journal that will last a lifetime.

Journal measures approximately 11 x 16cm (4.5 x 6") and is 4cm (1.5") thick. Paper size is approximately A6 (105 × 148mm)
