Wedding Dress Label with Border...Rush Ordering Included
Description
This listing includes rush ordering, which guarantees that the item will ship in under 2 weeks. If you do NOT need rush ordering, please see our other listings for simple or border dress labels. These labels are the same as our Simple Wedding dress label, with a border added. Our labels are stiched on satin, and are finished front and back. Please see below for the "History of the Dress Label".
The styles for this label can be mixed and matched, and include up to two lines of text. Please choose a font and a border, and fill in the info for your label. We encourage sending in swatches of fabric, ribbon, or even an invitation or program for us to match colors for you. Let us know if you have any questions, we are here to help!
Please note on borders: Border options 10 thru 15 create a larger label. If you like those borders, but want a smaller size, consider using a monogram, and a short version of date (an abbreviation of month names, or a numerical date )
Please note for monograms: Traditional monogram styles go first initial, last initial, middle initial. For Bride and Groom monograms, they go Bride's initial, married last name initial, Grooms initial. The initial in the center of the monogram is typically bigger than the two side initials, unless otherwise requested.
Please note on names: Traditionally, for weddings, the bride's name goes first. Seems like, for everything else the husbands name goes first, but in this case the bride gets first billing! Of course, as with anythine else, it's your wedding, so you can do it any way you want to!
Please note: If using full first and last names: go ahead and enter the names in one line on your order. However, they will most likely be done on two lines due to space limitations, with no symbols between (such as "&").
If you are unsure of how you'd like your label to look, take a peak at the
"Product Examples" page. There are lots of labels on there!

HISTORY OF THE WEDDING DRESS LABEL:
In the 20’s and 30’s, couture gown designers starting designing personalized labels for their clients, and attaching them inside the gowns. Now brides can use this special touch to make wedding gowns truly their own. When the tradition of labels for wedding gowns started, it was seen as the last time a bride would use her maiden name. So the bride’s full maiden name and wedding date was sewn into the gown. More recently, brides began choosing to put their name and the groom’s name on the label with the wedding date. Today, anything goes—from nicknames, monograms, or symbols—whatever the bride feels has the most meaning for her.
These labels are sewn into your wedding gowns lining at the hem, or inside the top of the gown, where a typical clothing label would go. They can be sewn in any color, but are most commonly done in blue for the traditional “Something Blue.” They can even be sewn as a pocket to hold something special, like a good luck charm, or other precious item that you want to have with you on your wedding day. After the wedding, the label becomes a memento for future generations to have the name and date from the day the dress was worn. This is a special touch for a dress that will be handed down. And if you decide not to keep the dress, the label can be removed, and kept as a memento of the gown-perhaps to be placed in your wedding scrapbook, next to a picture of the dress.
Whatever you choose to have stitched on the label, it is a wonderful way to make “The Dress” truly your own.
