Description
This scarf is truly one of a kind because it's a combination of several silk painting techniques including shibori (the Japanese method of wrapping, binding, and coloring silk), handpainted highlights, overglazing, and stamping of real fern fronds from my garden.There are so many colors in this scarf, including red, purple, brown, yellow, and blue, that it should go with any of your fall or winter outfits.. even something as casual as jeans! It measures 8" x 54" and is made from habotai silk with handrolled edges.
Since color is permanent on this extremely unique scarf, it can be handwashed, and will come with complete care instructions when you purchase. It is also signed by the artist, me, Sharon Strang.
Silk Scarves are fun and versatile! Wear it around your neck in the traditional way, tie it through your beltloops, or even use it as a headband! The possibilities are endless..just use your imagination! I've even used them as table runners.
