Japanese Kimono Squeeze Opening Coin Purse- Blue Flowers

It takes a long time to make a kimono fabric. Therefore, it is very expensive. We pass our kimono from generation to generation. Kimono has processes of dyeing and sometimes painting. Once you touch the real kimono fabric, you will love it.

I used authentic Japanese vintage kimono fabrics for outside. It is 100% Japanese silk. I brought this fabric from Japan with me. I also used fusible interfacing for to reinforce the fabric. For lining and the opening parts, I used solid light blue colored cotton fabric.

In Japan, this type of pouch is popular. I was able to get some squeeze opening spring closures from Japan.

This time, I made a flat coin purse with the spring closure.
You can put credit cards in this coin purse. They fit perfectly in it.

This is also very useful for travelers too. I love to store my jewelry or a lipbalm inside of this purse and put it on a night table while I travel.

The opening closes tightly. To open the pouch, you just squeeze the sides of the pouch. As the opening is made from springs, it opens easily. If you stop squeezing, it closes tightly. It is very convenient!!

The Coin in the picture is a Japanese coin, 5 yen (included). In Japanese, it is called "Goen". Usually when we buy a new coin purse, we put 5 yen in the purse to wish luck for having more money in the purse

Care information: Handwash with your lingerie silk soap, and air dry.
