GOLDEN POND - Jade and brass sterling silver pendant necklace

Description

I so enjoyed creating this piece! I married one olive green jade nugget with a brass petaled cap and suspended it from a hammered and distressed sterling silver round link. I hung a flat disc of antiqued brass that has a tiny frog pictured inside the link. I used a lightweight but strong chain and finished it with soldered shut jump rings and a slim lobster clasp for a secure closing. I oxidized, and then buffed the entire piece for a rustic, well worn look. All metal, besides the brass disc and bead cap, is sterling silver.

Nugget measures about 9mm or 1/4 inch. Circle link measures about 16mm or 5/8 inch. Pendant piece suspends 32mm or 1 1/4 inches from the chain. Finished chain measures 18 inches.
