Working at the Car Wash - Scrabble Tiles Car Wash Photograph Earrings

These kitschy earrings are created from repurposed Scrabble tiles which have been dyed with a silver moss colored pearlescent permanent ink. Collaged under resin are tiny original photographs of a wonderful retro car wash sign I took in the border town of Douglas, Arizona. In my many years as a photographer, I love to photograph old signs of vanishing Americana. Brass bead caps and reddish beads complete the design. Antique brass hoop earwires.

The total length of the earrings is about 2 inches.

Now go wash your car!
