Lil' House Vase Form, Rosa

Great gift-giving piece for a house-warming, wedding or new family (and of course, any other occasion!).

I threw this little form on the potter's wheel and then handbuilt the rest to form a sweet lil' house shape. Perfect for a couple of prize garden flowers, little posies from a near-by field, or dry Autumn and Winter arrangements. It's also stunning and home-y all on its own.

The glaze is satiny and a deep, rosy salmon color. I decorated the surface with slip-trailing (the clay version of cake-decorating), carving to define the silhouette of a door and piercing for a little window.

This piece is definitely functional, flower safe and water tight.
