Crochet Pattern--Between the Lines Scarf

Description

I absolutely love the technique of crocheting between the stitches in a prior row rather than into them; it makes a fabric that is just a little bit different and thus just a little unexpected. I’ve been playing with this idea in various forms since I first ran across it, and this scarf is the result. Enjoy!

This is a *crochet pattern* in .pdf format (and U.S. notation) for making one of the scarves pictured. You’ll also need approximately 8 ounces of Lion Brand Homespun in your choice of colors and a size K (6.50 mm) crochet hook, or your choice of alternate yarn and appropriate hook (this may affect total yarn needed), and a tapestry needle for weaving ends. The finished scarf varies in size depending on your choice of materials and pattern variant.

This pattern uses Foundation Double Crochet. Instructions for this stitch are included in the pattern.
