Hello! I bet you are wondering what good is 18 ga dead soft round sterling wire. First off, this stuff is sturdy. while it is just a tad bit too big for normal sized ear wires, it has fabulous strength for those double layer cuffed bracelets. It makes heavy duty clasps. It would make serious Chain mail links (chunky!). Even though it is dead soft, it is a little more difficult to work with than the larger gauge (smaller) wire.Added on Oct 28, 2009
