Demeter is the often called the Earth Mother, she is the bringer of seasons. It is said that the 4 seasons are a result of her joy and distress of being apart from her daughter Persephone. Persephone ate 6 pomegranate seeds at a great feast upon her return from the Underworld. Those seeds forced her to return to Hades's realm. 1 month for every seed she ate. So for 6 months out of the year the Earth Mother (Demeter) mourns her daughter's loss. The earth suffers during her mourning, sine she neglects her duties. Upon Persephone's return, Demeter is joyful and cares for the earth again. Its a never ending cycle that is repeated year after year according to the Eleusinian Mysteries which predate the popular Olympian Myths.

This is another necklace to continue my Deity Collection. This is the final piece in Hades's Story.

The pendant's solid weight is perfect as a statement necklace for a woman.

All of the metal used is brass. This necklace is a heavy. The pendant is bold and daring.
