Rosemary Lime olive oil and shea butter soap

Description

This is a refreshing bar, scented only with lime and rosemary essential oils.

If you've tried my rosemary lime soap in the past, you might notice a slight difference with this batch. The lime essential oil I used before was steam-distilled. This batch is made with a Persian cold-pressed lime essential oil. It is fuller, rounder, more complex. I could imagine it in a natural perfume. Hmmm. :)

Rosemary Lime, like all my soaps, is exceptionally gentle. I use an unusually high percentage of olive oil in my base recipe--about fifty percent. I then add enough coconut oil to boost the lather, but not enough to be drying; palm oil to make a hard and long-lasting bar, and a decent amount of shea butter so your skin will feel soft. And I use a touch of castor oil, which makes the bars lather even better.

I make all my soaps in small batches using the cold process method. I scent them with natural essential oils, and occasionally an absolute or resin. I never use synthetic fragrance oils or artificial colorants.

Rosemary Lime is a good sized bar, weighing between 4.75 and 5.25 oz. Men and women both like it, and it is good for people with allergies as it has no floral notes.
