Handwoven Wool Sash Strap
Description
This piece was handwoven on an inkle loom from wool yarns. There is a commercially spun soft pink and a handspun gray wool with a pinkish cast. I love working with the handspun wools!It measures 1 1/2" wide by 64" long with an additional 7" of fringe on each end.
The uses for a good strong strap are many. I have sold them for use as: bag strap, rifle strap, powder horn strap, sash, canteen strap. It is a one of a kind accessory for modern times or as part of a historic costume. Appropriate for Fur Trade Era or Renaissance.
