In my never ending quest to create the ultimate handmade pincushion, I took a little survey to find out the most desirable qualities in a pincushion. The top 5 were:

1. Large - room for lots and lots of pins
2. Heavy - so it doesn't move or tip over
3. Not too deep - so needles don't get buried inside
4. Lots of sections - for sorting different types of pins
and needles
5. Stuffed with materials that will sharpen,clean, shine

These huge (approx 4 inches) pincushions certainly fit the bill, and they do it with style! Each one is stuffed tightly with approx 1 cup of pure emery sand. This pincushion isn't going anyplace you don't want it to! The sections created by the different fabric squares can be used to keep different types of pins and needles sorted. Don’t need sections or just prefer one print? Flip it over to the other side for a whole new look….It’s reversible!! Each pincushion is covered twice to prevent the emery sand from seeping out. One side of this one is covered with a combination of blue coffee themed cotton fabric and brown polka dot cotton fabric. The other side is done with a coordinating geometric cotton fabric. The inside pouch is heavy white cotton.

As with all Love Laurie products, a touch of whimsy is a must. Each square pincushion comes with a sewing quote. This one says "You haven't had enough coffee until you can thread your sewing machine while it's running!". If you would like to choose a different quote or want to make up your own, just let me know in the notes to seller. The list of available quotes is in the 3rd photo.
