Alice in Wonderland - Mad Hatter in Red - Pendant Necklace

I don’t know what it is about the book Alice in Wonderland and especially ones illustrated by Sir John Tenniel, but every time I see a copy, I have to buy it! It’s an obsession but then again I figure if you have to be obsessed with something, Alice and Wonderland isn’t a bad obsession to have.

This is an oval shaped black acrylic pendant with the image of the Mad Hatter sealed in with a layer of resin for durability, water resistance, and sheen. Please note the image in this pendant has been reproduced electronically. I do have some Alice in Wonderland pendants in my shop that are made from pieces of the actual book and I didn’t want anyone to be confused when purchasing.

The pendant is large and measures 1.75 inches high by 1.25 inches wide. It comes on a 16 inch black plastic bead chain that gives it a very Victorian / Goth / Steampunk look and feel.

It comes packaged in a hard plastic clear top box that is ready for gift giving!

Just a little info about Sir John Tenniel’s illustrations - They were engraved onto blocks of wood and printed in the woodcut process. The original wood blocks are now in the collection of the Bodleian Library in Oxford.
