Sheep Dreams - handspun 2-ply CVM wool yarn - 400 yards

Description

This au naturelle skein was handspun by me (Amelia) from Washington raised California Variegated Mutant sheep fleece I selected, skirted, and had processed into combed top at Zeilinger's Woollen Mill. The hand of this yarn is medium-fine, terrific for socks and gloves.

I spun up 4 ounces of this cool combed top on my wheel into a nice high-twist 2-ply yarn in sock weight, and then washed the skein to set the twist. The natural medium brown could be overdyed or enjoyed in its natural state. I could see a green and dark brown overdye to really enhance its natural tones with a woodsy feel. This yarn was spun to be a nice, durable yarn -- perfect for socks or fingerless gloves.

Care: hand wash gently in cool water. Dry flat. This is a feltable yarn, do not machine wash.
