This is the yarn, except this yarn is in "Charcoal" that was used to make those gorgeous stockings found in the very popular "Handknit Holidays" author: Melanie Falick (Stewart Tabori & Chang publishers)65% Merino wool and 35% Linen. This is a sport weight yarn with approximately 164 yards per skein. The color is a natural "oatmeal" color resulting from the natural white wool and the natural light tan linen.
Not only is this yarn perfect for socks, but would make beautiful sweaters, shawls, scarves, etc.
If you haven't tried this yarn yet you should!! It knits up so nicely! Very soft! The linen provides good stitch definition and strenth without making the yarn scratchy. It's the PERFECT yarn!
