Frida, Bloody Frida, Deconstructed Straight Razor Necklace

This steampunk necklace has been made from a deconstructed vintage straight razor. To begin, I took an old razor with clear handles, cut the handles apart, cut each half into 3 pieces and put it all back together again. The ends of the handles feature Frida decals I have made and the center of each handle features a riveted on brass bee. Wire wrapped elements attach all parts with some lovely blood red coral and glass fruits. The blade of the razor is quite dull, but I wouldn't recommend wearing this with a toddler in your arms as it is still just a bit dangerous! I am a trained, if somewhat risky, silversmith and have assembled this piece with care.
