McCoy Pottery Rare Wall Pocket Cuckoo Clock 1950s

This is a hard to find McCoy pottery wall pocket - a cuckoo clock complete with pottery weights on a chain and a little yellow birdy in the cuckoo's nest! According to the Warman's mcCoy Pottery guide, this piece was glazed in many different colorways - this is one of the lighter green and tan - and with two different sets of numbers - Roman numerals and Arabic numerals. This one is the Roman numeral face. The value in Warman's is given at 200.00 to 225.00, but that was for the cuckoo with some gold accent glaze on it.

I do have another one to list that is a darker green and brown colorway with the Arabic numerals,and it is in excellent condition, having no chips,cracks or repairs. If you are interested in buying both, just convo me and I would be happy to work on a reduced shipping charge.

So, to return to the condition of this cuckoo clock - it is in excellent shape. The only booboo is the little bird's beak - I know, it always happens! But this doesn't even show much, it has a black glaze over it, almost like it was done at the factory. The other booboo is a hairline crack on one of the weights, nothing structural. The missing color on the roof of the house is just that, it is glazed over. No other chips, repairs or cracks, which is pretty remarkable considering that this cuckoo is as old as I am! :)

The measurements are as follows without including the weights: 8 inches tall by 6 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches thick. The weights are on a rusty chain that is 7 inches long, and each weight is 2 inches high by 7/8 inch wide.
