Horizon Sculpture of Fused Glass in Wrought Iron Stand

Description

Bright swiggles, swirls, and dots make this horizon promise an exciting day.

This textured glass sculpture has a leaf green opaque background with red, yellow, orange, blue, cobalt, aqua, white, and black designs that provide both color and texture. Details of sparkling dichroic glass add light.

In order to maintain the texture of the glass, this piece is fused at a temperature lower than a full fuse, at about 1350 degrees, then annealed slowly for strength and durability. It is placed in an 8" wrought iron stand, included with the sculpture. The full piece is about 12" x 9" in the stand.
