Ightham Mote, Medieval House -- fine-art photograph
Description
Ightham Mote (pronounced 'Item Mote') is a medieval house in the south of England. Mote is not a typo -- it's actually a case of ye olde English.Back in the olden days, druids and other local dignitaries would MEET at the MOTE... i.e. Ightham was a meeting place. There is also a moat around the house, just to add confusion.
This is a lovely photo of an ancient arch, leading out from the central courtyard towards the gardens. There's a person standing at the end of the tunnel, which I think adds a nice sense of perspective/distance travelled.
This is a fine-art original photo measuring 7x10" (18x25cm), signed and part of a numbered, limited run.
