A little dog resting in the woods, hand painted on a fused glass pendant. This necklace features a kiln formed pendant made of two pieces of white glass. The painting was done with powdered glass paints on each layer of glass. These paints become a glossy, permanent part of the glass when kiln fired. Multiple layers of paint, with kiln firings with each layer, makes this very old technique, a time consuming labor of love. Touches of a thermoplastic, permanently low fired paint were added. They had a slight texture and more brilliant color.

This piece is a signed original, one of a kind (OOAK) piece. Signed on the back: SAF09

This pendant measures approximately 1 1/4 inches wide by 1 3/8 inches high. A large size sterling silver plated bail has been epoxyed to the back, and will come with an 18 inch black 2mm leather cord necklace. (Faux suede ribbon available for those who prefer not to wear leather.)
