You can relax knowing that you're keeping plastic shampoo bottles out of our landfills with this multi-purpose bar that works wonderfully on hair and your body as well. And it's perfect for traveling, too. Our Glacier Blend bar is made with a large percentage of coconut oil, along with nourishing shea butter and hair-loving jojoba oil.

Coconut oil is one of the few oils whose molecules are small enough to penetrate the hair shaft - which is what makes this bar a wonderful shampoo bar for people with dry hair. If you've never used a shampoo bar, you're in for a treat! Many people report that their hair grows faster and feels much softer, silkier and thicker when using shampoo bars - and some report that they no longer even need conditioner! And - you're helping the environment by not disposing of plastic shampoo bottles. It will make you feel good on so many levels!

To use a shampoo bar, just wet the bar and lather it up in your hands a bit, then, starting at the scalp, work the soap through your wet hair. You'll notice that it doesn't lather like commercial shampoos - that's OK! We have been conditioned (pardon the pun) to believe that lather = cleaning power, and that's why most commercial shampoos are loaded with chemicals to boost lather. But it's not true! Simply work the soap through your hair and rinse. Many people suggest rinsing with a spritz or two of vinegar afterward to help rid the hair and scalp of the buildup caused by the commercial shampoos.

* Please note, if after the first use, you're not too thrilled with the results, please try it again a few more times. For many people, it can take up to two weeks for the hair to "get used" to a shampoo bar.

Each bar of soap weighs approximately 4.5 ounces. Because we make our soaps by hand in small batches, each bar may be slightly different. That's the beauty of handmade!
