Red Flower Basket Handbag and Pouch Matching Set, Upcycled Felted Wool

This handbag and matching zippered pouch are featured in the Winter 2009 issue of Haute Handbags!

This lovely handbag set was made from a bright red, thickly ribbed, felted wool sweater. The set includes the handbag and the matching zippered pouch. They are both lined in a pretty red and white floral print cotton fabric. There is a double interior patch pocket in the purse and it closes with a magnetic snap. This roomy bag measures 15 inches across the top opening and is 10 inches high. It is 9 inches wide and 3 inches deep across the flat bottom. The handles are 18 inches long. The zippered pouch measures 9 inches wide by 5 inches high.

The flower on the handbag is actually a removeable brooch. The brooch was also made from felted wool sweaters. The flower is creamy white and the leaves are green and embellished with seed beads. The brooch could also be worn on a coat or jacket, hat or scarf. The flower on the zippered pouch is sewn on and not removeable.

Spot cleaning or dry cleaning recommended.
