Ollie the Owl Pendant - Fine Silver Necklace with Green Tourmaline

This little owl was inspired by a delightful little rescue owl at the Coyote Point Museum in San Mateo. I was perusing the nature displays when this little head popped up and a darling little owl came hopping over to see me. He stood only about 6 inches tall, but his personality was huge! He preened and puffed himself up as big as he could get and then danced and paraded around for the longest time, giving me a fabulous show. He was such a friendly little guy, I just had to add an owl to my collection.

This owl is made of fine silver and measures about 3/4 of an inch high. I've paired him up with two pretty faceted green tourmalines. If green is not your color, I'd be happy to substitute your favorite gemstone.

This necklace is part of my Nature Collection, a series of designs reflecting the wondrous creations found in nature.

I have handcrafted this pendant of Fine Silver, the most precious form of Silver. Fine Silver is 99.9% pure silver and has a higher silver content than Sterling Silver, which is 9.25% silver. Unlike, Sterling Silver, Fine Silver is less prone to tarnishing, and will retain it's lovely shine with little or no effort.

The pendant measures approximately 3/4 of an inch long (19mm) and comes with an 18 inch oxidized Sterling Silver chain.
