El Grande Cowl

For my Fall/Winter ’09 Collection, I have added a new color combination to the very popular El Grande Cowl. I actually made this combo for a very special person and once I saw it completed, I loved it so much I felt it should be a regular in my shop.

This is the cowl to end all cowls for men and women alike. If you want to make that dramatic fashion statement with Fringe flair, this is the piece for you. The name of my design says it all. It’s huge and fabulous. A couture fashion piece. Not only will you be the most chic woman in the crowd, you will be toasty warm. The fact that this cowl is two-tone adds many options for wear. As the photos suggest, you can turn it so that only the grey is showing in front or the black. It can be worn as a long draped cowl in the front, as a turtleneck capelet, as a scrunchy cowl, an off-the-shoulder capelet, and many other ways. You can add a sparkly brooch or interesting kilt pin and you will be set for a night on the town or a day at the art gallery, this piece fits any occasion. I chose these two colors, black and dove grey, for the dramatic effect it will give. They will go with any colors in your wardrobe. You can wear this over your coat, alone with a blouse or turtleneck or even a tank top, you will be deliciously warm.

The yarn I chose is a soft, thick, yet lightweight wool blend. So soft you will want to curl up on the sofa with it. I chose a sexy neutral black for one half and a gorgeous dove grey for the other. The grey yarn has soft little brown fibers sticking out here and there and specks of cream and black which gives a very organic feel to it. The design is simple and classic but you can add embellishments if you want more detail for your ensemble. I wish I had more room for additional photos because there are so many different ways to wear this piece. This cowl would make a wonderful gift for yourself or someone dear to you.

Measurements: Length around; 34 inches, keep in mind this piece has some stretch to it.

This is an original Fringe design, handmade with great care and love by yours truly. Never been worn. Comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Will arrive beautifully packaged.

There is no need for gift-wrap with this item due to the attention I give to the packaging.
