Soup Bowls - Pots in the Raw - Price includes Painting and Firing

Buy 1, 2 or more. They are back - the popular soup bowls!!! Pots in the raw is clay that has been hand thrown, decorated,dried and had the first firing. All that's left is to glaze and here's a great opportunity to find the perfect pot with the perfect color. Yep, you get to pick the color. If you are purchasing more than 4 bowl, please convo me.

These soup bowls are approximately 5 1/2" across, 3" high and hold approximately 2 1/2 cups of liquid. I can also custom make bowls in this design larger or smaller.

Because these require a few more steps to completion, please allow 2 weeks for delivery.

I have a small studio located in Flower Mound, Texas.

All my pieces start with a lump of clay which is then either wheel-thrown, handbuilt, slip-trailed, extruded or a combination of techniques to form a piece of pottery.

The piece then must dry about two weeks before it's first firing. The piece is then placed in the kiln and fired to a temperature of 1950 degrees. After firing, the piece is very hard, but has no glaze. I apply a glaze either by brushing, dipping, sponging, spraying or a combination of techniques. The piece is again fire to a temperature of 2150 degrees. Some pieces have had multiple glazings and firings. The result is a unique piece of pottery.

The piece displayed is currently available for purchase and will be shipped within 3 days. All my pieces are signed. My pottery is food safe (unless specifically noted).
