PDF Knitting Pattern for The Wild Thing Balaclava Ski Mask - Adult and Teen Size

The pattern will be emailed to you as a PDF, but I also have a word document available if that would be easier.

This clever project is proof positive that you needn’t be pint sized to join the adventure of being the King of all the Wild Things. Inspired by the classic shape of a balaclava ski mask, this whimsical knit features pointed cat-like ears. This hat is designed to fit the average 20 – 23 inch adult and teen head.

This pattern is recommended for the intermediate to advanced knitter. You’ll need to know basic stitches, how to increase, knit in the round on circular needles and how to pick up stitches. If you’re a beginning knitter and feeling brave, give this fun knit a try!

You will need:

Yarn: 150 yards of chunky yarn, I prefer Patons Shetland Chunky, you'll need 2 skeins

Needles: US size 10 (6mm) needles or size needed to obtain tension. I use a 24" circular needle, I find straights get too heavy after awhile and I like the flexibility of the circulars.
