Navajo Spindle -Earth Star
Description
This is a one of a kind handmade Navajo style spindle for spinning and plying fiber. A modern take on an ancient Native American design, the spindle is made of maple and cedar with a steel tip and is adorned with an original pyrographic (wood burned) and ink design by Georgianne "Mother Hen" Jackofsky. The spindle measures 32" in length, the whorl is 3" in diameter. The smooth steel tip spins easily in a maple and graphite nest with a nonslip rubber pad.Added on Oct 30, 2009
