Roger Vivier 70s vintage peep-toe Platform shoes
Description
from the master of shoes, these wild, unique platforms are so special and rare.Roger Vivier is best known as the creator of the stiletto heel. Born 1907 he designed for Queen Elizabeth II, Ava Gardner and Christian Dior in 1953-63.
Navy leather and cream leather lined, they have an ankle strap in a double decker design.
Floating platform at the toes and a nice blocky heel.
the straps comes together with a bit of matching elastic, and closes with a sliding brass buckle. The soles are leather also.
Inner sole = 9 1/2" long
sole width = 2 3/4" wide
Heel = 3 1/2" tall.
Marked a size 6 N.
The front platform is about a 1/2" tall.
Excellent condition but for a nick in the left heel. The heel taps are worn and should be replaced eventually. The name inside is all but completely worn away, but shoe lovers know these are Vivier's.
