Cloister, Isle of Iona

Description

This lovely little print shows the columns ringing the cloister at the abbey on the Isle of Iona in Scotland. Iona is a small island in the Inner Hebrides where Saint Columba founded a monastery in 563.

This image is from a trip I took in the summer of 2005, and is particularly precious to me as it is one of the last exposures I made before the shutter in my camera stopped functioning; a fact I did not discover until I returned home and processed the film.

The print is a 2"x2" silver gelatin print mounted in an 8"x10" mat.
