Description

What heroic deed did you perform for the Airship Service to be awarded such a prestigious medal? Since only you and a select group of your brethren, can read the ancient language that the inscription is written in, only you (and other elite members of the Airship Service Corps) know the truth of your deeds!

This brooch pin is hand made in pewter and brass with amethyst crystals, brass chain and a bar pin back. It measures approx 1 1/8 inch (29mm) long x 1 inch (27mm) high.

A word about process; All of my pieces begin from raw pieces of metal - pewter sheet stock, brass rod, copper wire ... the like. For many of my pieces (including this one), I will make a basic component from the raw metal - a component like an airship body - and have castings made of that component. Then I will add parts and details to the cast components making each piece by hand and unique. Note the antique style milgrain details on this piece.
