Currents Felted Vessel

Description

This hand-felted vessel was wet felted with merino wool and merino/bamboo fibers in various shades of green and rust. Merino yarn and eyelash yarn adorn the top layer of the vessel. Some of the "bullseye" patterns on the vessel are felted, others are my lampwork glass disk beads, which are held on by Czech glass beads. The yarns make me think of electrical currents running across the vessel, with the felted and glass disks being pops of light here and there. A very fun and funky vessel indeed!

The vessel stands 8 3/4 inches high at its tallest point, 3 by 4 inches at the bottom, and about 7 1/2 inches wide in the body. These measurements are approximate.

You can use these felted vessels to store trinkets, dress up a small potted plant, display silk flowers and plants, provide a decorative accent, brighten up your work desk... the sky's the limit!
