Vintage bow tie deco safari giraffe print 1940s 1950s
Description
This is a vintage adjustable bow tie, at least 50 years old or more. I think the fabric is silk, but it could be rayon. The print is a deco jazz inspired geometric that looks like giraffe spots. The tie is adjustable from 14" to 17 1/2" according to the numbers on the inner lining.I am not sure how to tie this or how it is to be worn, but one could be creative and use it like a scarf to show off the snazzy print. I have not cleaned it, and it does have some discoloration, which may or may not come clean. The total length is about 34".
