Handwoven Treasure Card

Description

This card is the perfect gift for a textile lover.

The front of this card has 2 small, handwoven pieces of fabric on it. The fabric has been handwoven by me on my Macomber loom and measures about 1.25" wide. It's been woven on a 60/2 cotton warp, the weft is cotton yarn dyed by me. The top swatch has a leaf pattern brocaded into the design while weaving. The bottom swatch is a pleat structure.

The design was inspired by traditional fabrics from around the world that use this brocade technique, specifically textiles from Guatemala.

The swatch was lightly glued with acid-free glue to a cream colored card and is blank on the inside for your own special message. The envelope is a coordinating chartreuse color. The card measures 4.25" x 5.5" (10.795cm x 13.97cm).
