inspired by my tattoo artist fiance, i created this necklace.it is a black, white and red songbird, or swallow. the charm is hand painted on sealed cut acrylic. the charm measures .75 inches wide and .5 inches tall, hangs from a double threaded 16 inch long black thread and closes with a spring ring.
to sailors, songbirds symbolized that land was near, so they were considered to be a good sign that marked the beginning or and of a journey. put it on, and once the thread breaks your bird will fly and make your wish come true. let your journey take flight!
